A.1.1 Scope.  This appendix is not a mandatory part of the standard.  The information contained herein is intended for guidance only.  This appendix identifies items that have a high potential for infestation.  Items packaged in glass or cans are not susceptible to infestation unless infested prior to or during packaging.
